The Year’s First Day – A SAD ONE

January 01st, 2011 | Category: TyRain Rant

My Father became suddenly gravely ill on New Years Day, he now being on life support with a Brain Aneurysm. On Sunday morning, January 2nd, I will be traveling with other family members the 800+ miles to be with him bedside.

I am sorry but I will not be able to provide updates to TyRain during this very difficult time period. Please wish my Father the best.

UPDATE: JANUARY 11th

As I understand it my Father experienced a severe Hemorrhagic stroke, where an artery ruptured in his brain. They have successfully drained all the fluids but he remains in intensive care.

Even though I am now back home, I expect I will be making another long distance trip soon.

My thanks to the many of you that left comments and shared kind words and prayers via emails.

UPDATE: JANUARY 16th

In the wee hours of tomorrow morning I will make a solo non-stop drive from North Carolina to Long Island, New York. There comes a time when questions need to be asked of doctors eye-to-eye instead of over the telephone long distance.

I plan on resuming updates to TyRain on Friday, January 21st.

UPDATE: FEBRUARY 3rd

My thanks to all of you once again for your thoughts and comments. My Father has now been transferred to a nursing home. He can seemingly see and hear but it is impossible to tell if he has any sort of understanding – and the prognosis for further improvement is in doubt.

UPDATE: MARCH 25th

My Father had been a hardworking man… waking up, putting on his shoes, and going to work to provide for my Mother and myself, making sure that his family was fully taken care of.

I could count on one hand how many times that my dad was sick, even when he had to climb telephone poles and squirm under crawl spaces in occasional extreme weather conditions. One thing is for sure though… my Father learned that a cold beer on a hot day is one of life’s greatest pleasures.

I recall one of my Father’s birthdays when my Mother had prepared a special meal and after getting the evening phonecall that he was leaving work, an inviting and welcoming fire was started. Alas, we had forgotten to open the chimney flue and after dosing the flames, all the windows were opened to the brisk November evening to air out the smoke.

I do remember many times sitting in front of our Living Room picture window, awaiting his approaching car lights. Once I even saw a shooting star as it streaked over the Long Island Sound and made a wish.

As a young boy I did not fully understood why my Father worked so hard, so late, and so much. It was only later that I understood… he worked so I might play.

I fondly recall a go-cart he had made for me using wheels from my baby carriage and a highly advanced braking system, making me the fastest and proudest driver on my street.

On Friday, March 4th, standing besides a priest, my Mother, my cousin Patricia and myself said our goodbyes to my Father. But my Father surprised us all with his fighting spirit, waiting until St. Patrick’s Day, March 17th, to begin his new adventures.

Sleep warm, Dad.

TyRain enters 2009 – very soon 11 years online

January 02nd, 2009 | Category: TyRain Rant

This New Year of 2009, does indeed show promise and potential, at least here in the United States with new leadership.

I am hoping that for many around the world this current economic crisis will become less severe and quickly come to an end.

I started TyRAIN.com in 1998. It has since changed and evolved over the many years but I always wanted it to be simply meant as pure gay entertainment.

Changing TyRAIN into a blog was easy – posting on a regular basis has been extremely difficult over these 1.5 years.

I have decided to take a much needed break from updating TyRAIN as a Blog.

I promise that TyRAIN will return with fresh new posts and new features on Friday, January 9th.

TyRain Office Suddenly Freezes Over

February 27th, 2008 | Category: TyRain Rant

I have always been one preferring to sweat than shiver.
I also miss the shirtless runners, their muscular torsos glistening with the wet strain of their efforts.

Yesterday the afternoon temperatures here in the mountains were close to 60 (15C) but a cold front with thunderstorms rolled through.

This morning it was back to quite a chilly February winter wonderland.

Tonight I will have a roaring fireplace and a hairy fuck-buddy coming over to keep me warm.

Ice Storm affects TyRain

February 01st, 2008 | Category: TyRain Rant

Over my many years of life, I have always disliked winter. I would much rather be naked and sweating than shivering wearing too many layers of clothing. It is easy for me to cool down under a shade tree than get warm when chilled. But I will admit that I enjoy the way snow and ice changes the landscape, making stark winter look magical.

Rain was predicted last night but the temperature was perfect for an unexpected ice storm. Before I went to bed, I actually enjoyed the unique sound of pine trees crackling in the slight breeze. At 3:15am I awoke to my computer battery back up occasionally beeping in alarm mode – my power had failed. I threw on another blanket and wished for the best. But once awakened, I found it hard to relax enough for sleep. Hearing tree limps cracking and falling to the ground, no doubt, added to the sense of a job needing to be done now, not later.

Recalling the last ice-storm when power was out for countless hours, and knowing that a website of mine needed to be updated in the early morning, at 3:45am, I lit four candles and turned on my computer and monitor. Racing like a demon against the clock in sudden frozen hell, I finished the changes needed, not unlike turning on and off numerous switches in an extreme complex order. The battery back up began to beep constantly, like an annoyed young man seeking attention. After rechecking my work, I looked at the national radar and saw the storm above me, with a promise of more to come – and then, after ten minutes of total time, the computer went dark and the backup unit finally fell silent.

In the morning it was cold – but beautiful.

TyRain Rant – cut or uncut cocks

January 22nd, 2008 | Category: TyRain Rant

Comment:

…and he has a perfect frenulum; the frenulum is the most sensitive part of a man’s body…and one of the parts that is so often removed.

I will now say that I am getting annoyed with many anti-cut cock comments thus far written. I was cut in 1959 and remain happy, thank you very much – growing up that way.

Over the years I have seen men compete – be it looks or how much they earn, not if they were cut or uncut.

Without the USA, porn would not be so freely available on the Internet – porn being our last viable export.

As the USA approaches a depressive economic era, with too much imports and nothing really being exported – give me a fuckin’ break as I expose various images of interest here at TyRain for the MANY tastes of men – not just the uncut elite.
